Henry Purcell Biography
Henry Purcell is a British composer from the late seventeenth century. He is famous for his secular and sacred music, but also recognised for a style of classical music which became known as English baroque. His influence is far reaching, being cited by many rock and pop musicians of the twentieth century including Pete Townshend, Wendy Carlos and Klaus Nomi.
